Faustino Castillo es un pintor autodidacta que tiene tras de si una larga experiencia en el mundo de las artes plásticas.

Faustino Castillo he's a fine artist with a long experience on the Fine Art's field.

En 1982 se inicia como ilustrador y, a partir de esa fecha, realiza multitud de trabajos para Publicidad, Cine y T.V., Decorados, Ilustraciones, Carteles (Ferias, Flamenco, Exposiciones, Eventos culturales), etc.

In 1982 he started to work as an illustrator and from those days up to present he has done a lot of illustrations for advertising, cinema, television, stage-design, as well as advertising posters for trading fairs, flamencos shows, art-exhibitions and all sort of cultural events.

Ha trabajado como muralista en proyectos tales como Huracán 1724 y Toca-Toca del Museo de La Ciéncia de Barcelona y Madrid (CosmoCaixa-Alcobendas); en exposiciones itinerantes -recorriendo las distintas provincias españolas- como:

He has worked as an art- muralist for Barcelona and Madrid Science Museums on projects such as "Huracán 1724" and "Toca-Toca" and he has participate on several travelling-exhibitions all over Spain such as the follows:

También interviene (como muralista) en la creación de diversos parques infantiles de la franquicia "Indiana Bill" por diferentes ciudades, entre ellas: Valladolid, Vigo, Córdoba, Castellón, Aveiro (Portugal), Sevilla, D. Benito (Badajoz), Zaragoza y Tárrega (Lleida).

As a muralist, also contributes to the design of different children's parks for the company "Indiana Bill" on different Spanish cities such as Valladolid, Vigo, Córdoba, Castellón, Sevilla, Don Benito, Zaragoza and Lleida and the Portuguese city of Aveiro.

Faustino Castillo, ha realizado diversas exposiciones de dibujo y pintura a lo largo de estos años, en Barcelona capital, Vic, l´Hospitalet de lloregat (Barcelona), Jaén, Montoro (Córdoba), Peal de Becerro (Jaén), etc.

All over his professional career Faustino Castillo has set up a large number of exhibitions of his drawings and paintings.

Ultimamente ha estado trabajando en la tematización de la escenografía del Bosque Inundado (una recreación real de la selva amazonica), el espacio Toca-Toca y el mural de Recepción; todos ellos ubicados en el nuevo Museo de la Ciéncia de Barcelona -Cosmocaixa- recientemente inaugurado.

Lately, he has being involved on the arrangements and stage-design of "El Bosque Inundado" (The "Flooded Forest" ) which is a detailed reproduction of the Rain Forest.

Faustino Castillo también desarrolla una especialidad - al margen del muralismo y la ilustración - que es, el retrato; especialmente de niños y ancianos, empleando diversas técnicas y soportes.

As we already mention and apart from art-murals and Illustration's techniques, Faustino Castillo is also an experienced portrait's painter, specially children and old age people using all different techniques and materials.
